At the launch of Zamana on 4 August 2025, Dr. Chadan Jankee, former Mauritian ambassador to Berlin and Moscow, stated that Mauritius needs organisations such as Zamana and that the setting up of the organisation is a good initiative. Dr. Jankee is an economist by profession and was an academic staff member at the University of Mauritius before being appointed ambassador in 2015.
